Finding time to do a bit of art is still proving difficult. So many other things take priority and even at the weekend, with the best of intentions, I just never seem to get round to it. Geometric art for Christmas (again)
Christmas crept up on me yet again. I've done lino cut cards in the past but last year did a geometric design instead and I did the same this year. I haven't done as much geometry this year, largely due to getting a dog but I needed some cards and wanted to make rather than... Continue Reading →

Geometric art for christmas
I usually do a bit of linocut for my christmas cards. This year, I decided to do a geometric art design instead.
Patterns on an isometric grid

Tower of the Ladies
A couple of designs from the same location in the Alhambra. I deviated a lot from the original colours and used a new paint set from Rosa Gallery.
Art in the garden
It's September and we're getting a bit of a heat wave. I spent a rather nice Sunday afternoon in the garden going a few more Alhambra tile patterns.
A 70’s vibe
This is a pattern from the Alhambra. This time I didn't use the original colouring but did my own thing and came out with something very 1970's. I really like it!
Court of the Myrtles
A very contemporary feeling design...and some new paints.
Seeing stars
Another pattern from the Alhambra. This time taken from a ceramic dish. My interpretation ended up being not quite as sharp.
