Another pattern from Samira Mian’s archive. This time it’s Qila-e-Kuhna Masjid Delhi. Again, a relatively simple construction but I made a mistake with the tiling first time around. A step was missing from the PDF instructions and I then had to go to the recording to see what I’d missed.
I started off using yellow in the pattern but it really didn’t work so I switched to a muddy green, which I didn’t think was going to work either but now I’m done I’m quite pleased. I need to take a little more time planning my colour choices.
My watercolour technique remains, ahem, uneven…but I’m learning to live with it.
