Christmas crept up on me yet again. I’ve done lino cut cards in the past but last year did a geometric design instead and I did the same this year. I haven’t done as much geometry this year, largely due to getting a dog but I needed some cards and wanted to make rather than buy.
I’ve already posted about the start of this project, I got back into the swing by doing quite a big design and then decided to find something smaller that would work for cards.

I returned to Samira Mian for the pattern. I’ve bought a few from her recently released pattern library. This one looked like it would work well for cards. It’s relatively simple. Once I’d done the design, I made a tracing and then could make multiple copies for colouring.

I’m out of practice with my watercolour technique again so it took me a few goes to get my confidence back a bit. I soon got into the swing of it though and I’m pretty pleased with the results.
