A-Level art exhibition

My daughter completed her A-level in art this year. I got to go into school to see her mini-exhibition and her sketch books and I was totally blown away by her talent and the sheer amount of work she has put in. I was nearly moved to tears by the work in her sketch books in particular. She has come on so much in terms of not just skill but confidence over what has been a very strange 2 years of school.

It’s the first year that her school has run A-level art and she’s had great teachers and a nice small group of other students who have also done some amazing work.

Update – She got an A* !!

I just adore these sketches….so beautifully done.

Hands and skin. Something she’s painted quite a bit…having a bit of a battle with her own teenage skin.

Fabulous sketch of her friend…her friends feature a fair bit in her art.

I’m a bit of a sucker for colour, so love these.

A bit biased but I just adore this painting…it’s me in my pandemic working at home position on our dining table.

This is a massive painting of my mother’s dining room. It’s such a familiar place but the colours make it slightly out of kilter. My daughter made the canvas for this herself.
