I love flowers but the type of materials I use to make my wobbly pots mean that I can’t put water in them and have cut flowers in them. I recently bought a pottery kit which came with some nice dried flowers…marketed as being for mother’s day…a gift to myself!
Construction
There was enough clay and flowers in the set to make a few pots. My daughter joined me and made the small rounded pot and I made the other two. They were all made with the pinching technique.
My curvy pot happened pretty much by accident. The jug-like one was a bit more planned.
The finished articles
I tried to use colours that complemented the colours of the dried flowers that came in the kit. The purple is perhaps a bit too vibrant but overall I’m pretty happy.
