A wobbly candle

As a christmas present to myself, I bought a couple of different pottery sets. One of them was a candle making kit.

As usual, I didn’t really have a plan of what I was going to do with it so I ended up doing something pretty simple and plain. I was quite happy with the smooth finish I managed to achieve however however when I started painting it I realised it wasn’t quite as smooth as I thought!

I did a really simple paint job and then did the wax pouring. All the bits for this were in the kit. I had thought that I’d made the pot too large but in the end the wax fitted pretty well.

Quite happy with the final effect. Couldn’t take a picture to do it justice really. Only problem was that I found that the paint bubbled in places as the candle burned.
