I haven’t been very thoughtful about the decoration on my wobbly pots so I thought I’d spend a little more time planning that on my next one.
I experimented a bit by drawing out a few ideas first.

I decided that I liked the embedded circles the best and thought I’d try this out on the next pot.

In terms of the pot, I went back to pinching. I made two pots, joined them and then formed a neck. It was a little more successful than the last time but still a little thick and clunky. Definitely not a favourite shape. I then painted on my pattern in kind of earthy tones with splashes of red. It ended up looking quite retro.
While I’m relatively happy with this one…it’s not one of my favourites, I like the decoration more than the pot. It also doesn’t work brilliantly for keeping pens and pencils in.
As an aside, this pot was made while binge watching every episode of Line of Duty. The final series was on telly and I hadn’t seen any of them. I’ll always think of Line of Duty when I look at it!
